Orientation
Jamie L. Festervand, Coordinator

Orientation is designed primarily for first-time freshmen and is scheduled as a one day workshop prior to the start of the semester with a lab held during the semester. Orientation 101 is a one-hour course and is required for graduation.

The course covers programs and policies of the University which will assist freshmen in adapting to the University environment and in becoming a part of the University community.

Orientation 101 is scheduled before late registration in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. It begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. A written exam is required and completion of lab work during the semester is used to determine the final grade.

Four First Time Freshmen Orientation and Registration Conferences are scheduled for the Fall semester. These conferences are scheduled in late May, June, and mid July. Information and application for attendance at one of the four conferences is included with the comprehensive packet application for admission to the University. Students will be expected to either pay the $30 orientation fee in advance, or submit a check or money order for the fee the day of the orientation.
