CALL Program Admission Requirements

The CALL Program is designed for adult learners who are not traditional students coming to us directly from high school. CALL classes are designed to meet the special needs of students who work and have families. For that reason, admission into CALL is reserved for adult learners who meet the following requirements:

  1. Be admitted into McNeese State University as a degree-seeking student. MSU Online Application
  2. Have accumulated at least 45 hours of transferable college-level credit from a regionally accredited institution.
  3. Have been employed full-time for at least 3 years (or longer if part-time).
  4. The work requirements may be waived if you have earned an Associates Degree in any discipline.
  5. Submit a CALL Application (current students only).
  6. Submit a Proof of Employment form.
  7. Submit a Personal Statement—a written explanation of why you want to participate in CALL.
  8. Complete and submit Student Online Readiness Tool (S.O.R.T) results.

How do I apply for the CALL Program at McNeese State University?

Current McNeese Students:

  1. Submit a CALL Application.
  2. Submit a Proof of Employment form.
  3. Submit a Personal Statement
  4. Submit Student Online Readiness Tool (S.O.R.T) results.

New Applicants:

  1. Submit online application for admission and $20 non-refundable application fee.
  2. Submit official transcripts from all collegiate institutions previously attended regardless of whether credit was earned or is desired.
  3. Complete and submit the proof of immunization form.
  4. Submit a copy of Draft Card (males ages 18 – 25 only).
  5. Submit a Proof of Employment form.
  6. Submit a Personal Statement*.
  7. Submit Student Online Readiness Tool (S.O.R.T) results.

Interviews may be conducted as part of the admissions process.

* - Your personal statement should cover your work/life/educational experiences that have prepared you for the CALL program. You should also cover why you want to participate in the CALL program. There is not a minimum length for this statement, however; it should not exceed 500 words.
