Electronics - ELTR 234
Introduction to Microcontrollers and Programming
- Calculate and convert using different numbering systems, integer math and Boolean logic
- Define and describe general architecture and features, memory types, and application of a microcontroller.
- Describe and recall the architecture, programming, and interface requirements of a BASIC STAMP.
- Program: properly define variables, use different types of branch and loop, properly display the outcomes, debug the codes, and other special commands required in BS2 programming.
- Install the software, set up the hardware and test the system for a BS2 board used in the class. Communicate between BS2 and PC.
- Design, wire and control one and multiple LEDs using BS2 programming. Modify the LED circuits according to application requirements.
- Design, wire digital input circuits using pushbuttons, monitor pushbuttons and take corresponding actions by BS2 programming.
- Use pushbuttons to control LEDs; Scan and Debounce Multiple Inputs
- Wire, test and control a servo.
- Wire, test and control 7-Segment LED Display.
- Control frequency and sound effects using a speaker.
- Wire, test and control a character LCD.
