MSU's Role

After the board has selected topics for the seminars/workshops for the coming year, a McNeese faculty member is designated as coordinator for each seminar/workshop based on his experience and expertise for the topic. Two or three board members work with the faculty coordinator to: develop the general scope and expectations for the seminar; and search for a seminar leader with a national reputation and proven expertise to lead the seminar. The logistics and planning arrangements are the responsibility of the faculty member.

McNeese facilities are use without charge to reduce the cost of the seminar/workshop. The McNeese Division of Continuing Education provides registration service, news publicity, and Continuing Education Units for attendees, as well as printing brochures for the seminars.
