| Instructor: | Dr. Joseph Richardson, MSU Civil Engineering Faculty | Primavera Project Planner (P6) is the premier computer project scheduling software in the world and is required for many federal vendor contracts.
Topics that will be covered will be: (1) a basic introduction to project scheduling and the Critical Path Method(CPM), (2) starting and working with P6, the menus, buttons and controls, (3) how to input activities onto P6; how to output a schedule, (4)organizing the P6 schedule, (5) inputting resources into the schedule, (6) using filters to further organize the schedule, (7)inputting and controlling costs using P6, and (8)using P6 with the Work Breakdown Structure(WBS). | Instructor: | Dr. Joseph Richardson, MSU Civil Engineering Faculty | Go beyond the fundamental of scheduling a project by transferring project data, cutting and pasting, storing and retieving fragments and using imports and exports. In addition, global change and custom data items will be used to modify activity data. Learn to enhance your presentation by including objects and symbols and post this information on your company Intranet using the Web Publishing Wizard.
You will become proficient at using the power of P6 for maximum control of your projects. You will be creating schedule reports, resource and cost reports as well as P6 presntation quality graphics. Hands-on workshops will provide you the framework for creating each type of report and graphic.
