A letter writing party to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held on the McNeese State University campus Thursday, Oct. 29.
The event, sponsored by the McNeese Up ‘til Dawn student organization, is scheduled from 6 p.m. to midnight in Parra Ballroom of the Student Union Annex.
Up ‘til Dawn started 10 years ago when a few students at The University of Memphis decided it was time for their campus to come up with a way for all students to come together to support a great cause. The cause was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the idea was Up ‘til Dawn. Currently, there are more than 200 college campuses participating in the Up ‘til Dawn Program that generates nearly $5 million annually for groundbreaking research and lifesaving care at St. Jude.
Last year, the McNeese organization raised over $20,000, bringing the total amount raised to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at $110,000 over the past three years.
