McNeese Offers Assistance for Completing the 2026-27 FAFSA

FAFSA pop-up event at Frazar Memorial Library, McNeese State University.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available for the 2026-2027 academic year. McNeese State University is hosting a FAFSA Pop-Up on Saturday, Jan. 10, to help current and incoming students complete the application.

The McNeese Financial Aid Office will host a FAFSA Pop-Up on campus in the Frazar Memorial Library from 1 to 4 p.m. No appointment is needed. McNeese students can stop by and renew their FAFSA and incoming students and their families can get assistance in filing the FAFSA.

Students can qualify for federal grants, work-study opportunities and loans to help pay for college through the FAFSA. All students are encouraged to complete the application.

FAFSA applicants are encouraged but not required to bring their 2024 tax information and their social security number.

The FAFSA is also important for current McNeese students who receive any kind of grants or student loans. To avoid delays in receiving your financial aid for the 2026-2027 academic year, students need to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible.

For more information or questions about FAFSA, contact McNeese Student Central at 337-475-5065 or email studentcentral@mcneese.edu
