McNeese State University’s W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present “The Teenager Project 2022” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 8 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 in Squires Recital Hall.
Written by McNeese faculty, students and community members, the “Teenager Project 2022” represents an update to the 2018 McNeese performance, “The Teenage Project: Mythbusting Adolescence.” According to Charles McNeely, associate professor of theatre arts and director of this project, the play explores many of the same themes about adolescence and aims to help pre-teens, teens and adults navigate through this difficult period of development.
“By re-examining and updating the original play, we’re continuing to search for a way to bring understanding to one of the most misunderstood stages of life,” says McNeely.
Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for McNeese faculty/staff, senior citizens, K-12 students and teachers, and free for McNeese students with a current ID. Tickets can be purchased at www.mcneese.edu/performingarts/boxoffice. Season tickets are also available.
