Address Changes

  • It is imperative that all students provide the university with current, up-to-date addresses.
  • Addresses can be changed at Student Central in Chozen Hall, through the MyMcNeese portal, or by downloading and submitting a completed Address and Telephone Number Change Form to the Office of the Registrar.
  • Questions regarding address changes should be directed to Student Central at 337-475-5065.

Name Changes

  • To request a change to your name, you must complete the Name Change Form and present copies of supporting documentation to Student Central in Chozen Hall.
  • Only those name change requests accompanied by legal documentation will be processed.
  • Examples of acceptable legal documents include a birth certificate, marriage license, divorce decree, court order, etc.
  • Questions regarding name changes should be directed to Student Central at 337-475-5065.

Social Security Number Changes

  • To request a change to your social security number, you must present your social security card at Student Central in Chozen Hall.
  • Questions regarding social security number changes should be directed to Student Central at 337-475-5065.

Curriculum
Changes

  • To change your curriculum, you must obtain the form from your current or new advisor or department.
  • The form must be signed by your current department and the department to which you want to move; both academic department heads involved must approve the change.
  • Return the completed form to Student Central in Chozen Hall.
    A curriculum may be changed through the last day for late registration for a particular term.
  • Any curriculum change form received after the last day for late registration will be processed for the next semester or term in which the student enrolls.

Ashley Bass

I am a McNeese graduate with a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science and a concentration in Child and Family Studies. As a student, I competed on the rodeo team and served on the SGA board. I earned my master’s degree in 2022 from the University of South Dakota in Educational Administration and Leadership with a concentration in Adult and Higher Ed. I have over 13 years of experience in adult education and 20 years of educational experience.

My favorite part of being a Freshman Advisor is helping students navigate their new life routine as a college freshman by offering support with in-person office visits or by email to help students meet their goals. I always remind students of my favorite BB King quote – “Education is one thing no one can ever take away from you.”  I believe that supporting students is vital to a student's success.

In my spare time, I raise registered American Brahman cattle, and I enjoy all the "country girl" things like hunting, fishing, growing a garden and cooking.
